Soap Pictures

The Coconut and Cherry Blossom soaps are almost finished curing.

If you watched the cutting video of the coconut soap cut on YouTube, you can see that the bottom portion of the coconut soap has darkened from when it was first cut.

Today I made two different soaps from scratch and made videos.  I’ll post the videos after I get them edited and resized for web viewing.  These are the first two batches I made using my new pink stick blender.

The soaps I made today are two of my best sellers.  Any guesses which ones they were?

I’ll tell you later.

In the meantime, here are some pictures of the Cherry Blossom Soap.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I really like the look of the coconut one. The earthiness of it. I also love the brightness of the Cherry Blossum one. Opposite ends of the spectrum, huh? Is that a really bright pink?

    1. Carol - I'm with you exactly. I love them both even though they are opposites. The cherry blossom has neon pink and green. I have a goat milk soap that I used green and purple neon in. I love it! The colors seem to deepen when wet :-)

  2. Great minds think alike! :-) I have a few neons from BB. Where did you get yours? I have looked at a few other sites but the neons don't seem any different than the normal colors so I haven't bothered. I am really wishing that I started making soap a bit earlier as everyone talks about POP Micas and the colors were amazing! You can't get them now. :-(

    1. Agreed! I, too, missed out on the Pop Micas. I actually had the pop micas in my tkbtrading cart but they sold out before I made my purchase :-(

I do love the neons. They are non-bleeding. I got the neons from tkbtrading.

  3. Hey! Did you see your Earth Soap is on Great Cakes SoapWorks as a good example of a Landscape Soap? Nice! How dark did the clouds get?

    1. Cool! No, I didn't see that. I just went to check it out. Neat! Have you come up with your landscape idea yet? The clouds are mostly purple now, with a bit of white peeking through. If I make this again, I will probably leave the clouds unfragranced.

  4. Yeah, I got on Pinterest and typed in "pretty landscapes" I found one taken in Porthoustock, England that I will try and duplicate. I have to figure out embeds first and go buy a skinny pvc tube for the sun. Wish me luck! Take another picture of the earth soap-I wanna see!

    1. That sounds neat! I look forward to seeing your video of that one. Do you plan to use MP or CP embeds? I'll shoot you a current picture of the earth soap. Isn't it a kick to see what fragrance oils can do over time?
